QC Technician; CNC Equipment

We are seeking a dedicated full-time QC Technician to join our Machinery Parts and Service team. Your primary focus will involve the inspection, calibration, setup, and preparation of hydraulic shears and press brakes for customer delivery. This role is based directly on the shop floor, and you will also assist with general operational tasks during periods when quality control duties are not scheduled.

We are seeking a dedicated full-time QC Technician to join our Machinery Parts and Service team. Your primary focus will involve the inspection, calibration, setup, and preparation of hydraulic shears and press brakes for customer delivery. This role is based directly on the shop floor, and you will also assist with general operational tasks during periods when quality control duties are not scheduled.

• Conduct thorough incoming inspections of all MVD equipment to identify and record any potential transit damage.
• Execute the MVD installation checklist to ensure every machine is properly leveled, calibrated, and configured.
• Verify all mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and CNC control systems to ensure the machine meets pre-shipment quality standards.
• Securely archive control and drive data backups in the designated system upon task completion.
• Finalize and submit comprehensive service reports and QC checklists for every piece of equipment processed.
• Report any discrepancies or technical issues to the Plant Manager to ensure quality standards are upheld before final approval.
• Help maintain a safe, tidy, and efficient workspace by adhering to all established shop safety protocols.
• Assist with various shop floor duties as needed to support overall productivity when QC tasks are not active.

• Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent, with technical or vocational schooling considered an asset.
• Between one and three years of professional experience within an industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in utilizing precision measuring tools, hand tools, and volt/ohm meters.
• Fundamental understanding of electrical systems, including the ability to verify wiring and safely test voltage levels.
• Capacity to interpret and strictly adhere to complex technical documentation and standardized checklists.
• Dedication to precision by ensuring every procedural step is executed accurately to maintain high quality.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage your schedule effectively while handling multiple machines.
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods in a shop environment and lift loads up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform tasks at heights, as the role requires regular work on ladders.

• Previous hands-on experience with fabrication machinery, specifically hydraulic shears or CNC press brakes.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic components, including leak detection and fluid level maintenance.
• Experience interacting with and navigating CNC control interfaces.
• Background in utilizing drive backup software or PLC systems.
