Overview

Vertical Supply Group (VSG) is seeking a creative, data-driven Social Media Manager to lead the planning, execution, and optimization of our social media presence. This role is responsible for developing platform-specific strategies, producing compelling content, engaging with online communities, and analyzing performance to support brand growth and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities Strategy & Planning
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with brand goals and marketing initiatives.
  • Identify target audiences and craft platform-specific approaches to reach and engage them.
  • Stay current on social, digital, and cultural trends to keep the brand relevant and competitive.
Content Creation & Management
  • Plan, write, and publish high-quality content including posts, videos, stories, and graphics across social channels.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (creative, product, marketing, customer service) to support campaigns and storytelling.
  • Manage the social media content calendar to ensure consistency and alignment with key business priorities.
Community Engagement
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and brand mentions in a timely, professional manner.
  • Foster an engaged online community and identify opportunities for conversation and brand advocacy.
  • Collaborate with customer service teams to manage escalations or sensitive interactions.
Analytics & Reporting
  • Track performance metrics across platforms (engagement, reach, conversions, sentiment, etc.).
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports highlighting insights, successes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Use data to refine strategies, enhance content performance, and inform leadership.
Campaign & Partnership Support
  • Support paid social campaigns by coordinating assets, messaging, and posting schedules.
  • Work with influencers, brand ambassadors, and partners to amplify reach and visibility.
  • Monitor competitor activity and industry benchmarks to inform strategy and creative direction.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–4+ years of experience managing social media channels for a brand or agency.
  • Understanding of Meta Ads and business manager (setting up ads, audiences, ad sets, campaign budgets and tracking performance)
  • Strong understanding of platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, Linked In, You Tube, and X (Twitter).
  • Excellent writing, storytelling, and visual communication skills.
  • Proficiency with social management and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite, or others).
  • Ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Multi-tasking skills required – with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Expertise with content creation applications like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Advanced knowledge of paid social advertising campaign creation, audience segmentation, ad optimization, and reporting (including conversion, brand awareness, traffic, and lead generation campaigns).
Preferred
  • Experience with short-form video creation and/or basic photo/video editing.
  • Familiarity with SEO, influencer marketing, and broader digital marketing principles.
