- Hourly Employment
:
Roster positions are paid hourly and do not include benefits such as medical, dental, or vision insurance, life insurance, paid leave, or paid holidays. - Limited Hours
:
Roster employees may work up to, but no more than, 1,000 hours in a 12 month period. - Pension System
:
Roster positions are not eligible for membership in the city’s pension system.

Brief Description of Work
Camp Joy is an inclusive day camp designed for individuals with and without disabilities. This position is responsible for providing all of the medical needs of the campers. This position is the medical liaison between agencies, and will secure medical data on each camper as needed.
Responsibilities
- Collecting, labeling, and administering medication provided by campers
- Administers first aid to any injured camper or staff person and is responsible for securing medical assistance in case of severe injury
- Perform other medical procedures as required
- Contact the parents/guardians of absent campers to obtain a reason for absence
- Keeps accurate records for dispensing medications to campers
- Inventories medical supplies and submits supply requests to MRU Coordinators
- If absent, is responsible for securing a replacement
This job is Non-Exempt and is subject to the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Minimum Qualifications
- First Aid/CPR/AED certified required at all times of employment
- Valid Driver's License
- Valid RN Licensure
An Ideal Candidate Would Also Possess (Preferred Qualifications)
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
