Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift Location

North Carolina

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30) with rotating weekends and holidays required.

The Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care for adult patients with established medical conditions and those requiring hospitalization due to complications of a disease process. Nurses will be responsible for monitoring and managing patients in a telemetry capable setting, ensuring patient safety and effective treatment plans.

• Provide patient care in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor patients using telemetry and respond effectively to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more.
• Float between various Cone Health facilities as required.

• Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry unit.
• Charge RN experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Experience with the EPIC charting system is mandatory.
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage rapid response teams.
• Knowledge of care for feeding tubes, renal failure, blood product administration, and peripheral line management.
• Active RN license in North Carolina.
