This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00), including rotating weekends. Floating to other facilities may be required.

This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the Neuro Progressive Care Unit, focusing on medical neurological patients including those with strokes, seizure disorders, and traumatic brain injuries. The RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and provide essential monitoring and support to ensure patient safety and recovery.

• Provide direct patient care in a 30-bed Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care department.
• Monitor patients with neurological conditions, ensuring timely intervention as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.
• Utilize EKG skills to monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms as required by unit protocols.
• Manage administration of medications and perform necessary interventions for optimal patient outcomes.
• Document all patient care activities accurately in the electronic health record (Epic).

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a progressive care or telemetry unit.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Experience with Central Line and PICC line management preferred.
• Must pass the EKG exam during compliance prior to starting the assignment.
