The Hospice PRN Registered Nurse provides skilled nursing care hospice following physicians orders and the established Plan of Care. This position participates in the supervision of Home Health Aides and LPN's. Coordinates and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team ensuring the enactment of the Plan of Care. Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager. Works and schedules a minimum of assigned shifts and call shifts according to PRN contract commitment.
This position plays a critical role in supporting Augusta Health's mission and advancing departmental goals through measurable performance indicators and service excellence. This position contributes to a collaborative patient-centered environment and helps drive outcomes aligned with organizational priorities.
Education:
Nursing Diploma and/or Associate Degree in Nursing
Licensure/Certification:
Current and valid Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia or from a state that is part of a Compact Agreement with Virginia CPR-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification (BLS-HCP)
Experience:
Requires one year of recent Medical/Surgical Experience Driver's License:
Yes To drive an Augusta Health Vehicle must also be 21 years old and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must be approved by Risk Management. Eligibility to work in the United States and meet Virginia state employment requirements
