Work Shift: Various (United States of America)

The LPN works under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Manager and functions within the LPN Scope of Practice. The LPN is responsible for providing direct patient care to patients with medical/surgical needs. This includes age-appropriate interventions that meet physical, emotional, developmental, psychosocial and educational needs. The LPN is responsible for coordination and delivery of high quality care. The LPN can serve as a preceptor for new LPN employees.

They are responsible for attending and participating in staff meetings, in-services, special projects and continued education. The position supports WELLSTAR’s thriving multi-specialty clinic in Greensboro and opportunities to work in either primary care or pediatrics.

• Provide direct patient care to patients with medical/surgical needs, including age-appropriate interventions that meet physical, emotional, developmental, psychosocial and educational needs.
• Coordinate and deliver high-quality care.
• Serve as a preceptor for new LPN employees.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings, in-services, special projects and continued education.

• Required Minimum Education:
  
  High School Diploma General or GED;
  Practical Nursing Diploma
• Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
  Licensed as Practical Nurse in Georgia; BLS-I, BLS, or ARC-BLS (American Red Cross Basic Life Support)

• Minimum 1 year medical/surgical nursing practice in an acute care environment (Preferred)
