Description of WorkThe Clinical Referral Nurse is responsible for managing the Clinical Referral and Admission of patients seeking admission to the Walter
B. Jones Center. This position works with the admission/referral staff to assure that clinical referrals are processed and admissions occur in a timely manner. This position also works as a float Nurse, providing direct Nursing Care at the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer.
A sign‑on bonus of $10,000 may be offered to the successful applicant(s) of this posting, contingent on the 2025‑2026 Budget Approval.
Shift Premiums for 12‑Hour Shifts- Day (6:45am - 7:15pm):
No Premiums - Evenings/Night (6:45pm - 7:15am):
Monday - Friday 20%, Saturday and Sunday 30%
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
- Ability to independently plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
- Knowledge of medications and the physiological effect of those medications.
- Ability to communicate information in a concise and descriptive manner, verbally, written or by demonstration.
- Ability to appropriately respond to emergency situations.
The Walter
B. Jones Center operates two adult inpatient treatment programs on site in Greenville, NC: (1) Woodside Treatment Center and (2) Lakeside Psychiatric Hospital. The primary purpose and mission of the Walter
B. Jones Center is "To provide inpatient treatment, psychiatric stabilization and medical detoxification for individuals with mental health, substance use and other co‑occurring psychiatric diagnoses for ongoing community based treatment and recovery". The Center is accredited by the Joint Commission and SAMHSA/CSAT. Two specialty programs are offered to all 100 NC Counties: (1) Inpatient Opioid Treatment for adults and (2) Inpatient Perinatal Services for women in their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimesters with substance use disorders.
