Provide advanced nursing care to cardiac and respiratory patients, including:

• Cardiac telemetry monitoring
• Assessment and management of heart failure, NSTEMI, arrhythmias
• Respiratory support for COPD, pneumonia, and other respiratory failures
• Central line, feeding tube, and high‑flow nasal cannula care
• Pre‑ and post‑cardiac catheterization procedures
• Pre‑ and post‑hemodialysis management and anticoagulation (IV insulin protocols)
• Interpretation of arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias
• Participation in interdisciplinary teams: IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory, interpretation services, etc.

Shift schedule: 12‑hour nights (19:00-07:30), 3 shifts per week, 7‑p‑7a rotations every other weekend, with holidays as needed.

• Registered Nurse (RN) with active license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Progressive Care Unit / Step‑Down or similar setting
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications
• EPIC EMR experience (Community Hospital) required
• Cardiac telemetry experience required
• BiPAP/CPAP management, feeding tube care, high‑flow nasal cannula, IV insulin protocols
• Experience with central lines, telemonitoring, and titration of cardiac drips and insulin drips
• Knowledge of CVP monitoring, blood products, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Pass/Fail EKG exam (must pass within 12 Noon EST prior to start date)
• Completed 12‑hour/night shift hours within 13‑week contract
• Travel experience preferred (first‑time travelers allowed)
• Must complete required modules during orientation (2‑4 hours) and meet compliance RTO
• Background check without open cases and license verification required
• Driver’s license required to verify address
• Travel compliance RTO must be submitted with application

Adults and geriatrics; daily census 30 beds; focuses on:

• Heart Failure
• Respiratory Failure
• NSTEMI
• COPD
• Pneumonia

Pay package based on 12‑hour shifts, 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation). Tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Required:

COVID‑19 vaccine, flu vaccine (medical or religious exemption only).

Travel stipend, call & float coverage indicated. Working nights and occasional weekends.

Local policy prohibits candidates within a 50‑mile radius.

Prime Staffing may float traveler to any Cone Health campus as needed.
