Travel PCU Registered Nurse

Prime Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU (Progressive Care Unit) for a travel nursing job in Greensboro, North Carolina.

• Provide high‑quality care for cardiac patients (Congestive Heart Failure, rule‑out myocardial infarction, Acute Coronary Syndrome, Arrhythmias)
• Manage respiratory problems (COPD, pneumonia)
• Cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias, including EKG testing
• BiPAP and CPAP management
• Blood product administration
• Central line and feeding tube care and management
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Isolation precautions and PPE
• IV insulin protocols, titrate cardiac and insulin drips, monitor CVP
• Support pre‑post cardiac catheterization and dialysis management
• Assist with rapid response teams and other interdisciplinary support services

• RN licensure (state required)
• Active license at submission
• Experience with Epic EMR
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Cardiac telemetry experience required
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ABG interpretation, and telemetry
• Background check with no open cases; third‑party education verification required
• All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Flu and COVID‑19 vaccination required (medical or religious exemptions only)
• Ready to travel; local candidates within 50‑mile radius not accepted
• Must provide travel compliance RTO before start date

Pay is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (details to be confirmed). Contract includes tax‑free travel stipend and 16 guaranteed hours per week in addition to the standard 36 hours.
