The School of Nursing, within the Hairston College of Health and Human Sciences at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, is seeking a clinical assistant/associate professor whose teaching and scholarship is focused on Nursing Leadership. The primary purpose of this role is to provide student-centered teaching and clinical instruction of undergraduate and graduate-level courses, advise and mentor students, develop curriculum, and engage in program assessment and accreditation procedures.

The candidate will incorporate modern pedagogical skills in teaching nursing leadership, supervise and support DNP student projects, and provide service to the School of Nursing, the College, and the University, as well as to community and professional organizations. This is a 12‑month, non‑tenure‑track position.

• Teach undergraduate and graduate nursing leadership courses using student-centered pedagogical approaches.
• Advise, mentor, and recruit students in the School of Nursing programs.
• Develop and review curriculum and assessment tools for accreditation compliance.
• Supervise and support Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) student projects.
• Provide service to the School of Nursing, the College of Health and Human Sciences, the university, and external professional and community organizations.

• Doctoral degree in nursing (DNP or PhD).
• Prior teaching experience in baccalaureate and/or graduate nursing programs, or credentials meeting the North Carolina Board of Nursing educational requirements.
• At least three years of clinical experience in nursing leadership concepts and theories.
• Demonstrated pedagogical skills to teach nursing leadership topics.
• Skills with Blackboard LMS, Banner INB, and Microsoft Office supported software.

Applicants must hold a current unrestricted license as a registered nurse in North Carolina or have eligibility to obtain a North Carolina Registered Nurse license.

On‑site. The position requires dedicated office space and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work arrangements.
