Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Assignment Duration:
This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule:

Night shifts, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery unit will be responsible for providing care to pregnant patients and those up to 6 weeks postpartum. The role requires a thorough understanding of triage and labor checks, as well as maintaining optimal conditions for delivery.

• Assist with high-risk deliveries and provide triage for obstetrical patients.
• Conduct labor checks and emergency response procedures as necessary.
• Utilize appropriate medical interventions including Epidural Anesthesia and administering medications.
• Provide support and education to new mothers regarding breastfeeding and postpartum care.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records utilizing the Epic charting system.

• Active RN license in North Carolina.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Certifications:
  
  AWHONN Beginner/Intermediate, FHM, NRP, BLS required; ACLS and AWHONN Advanced preferred.
• Previous Charge RN experience is a plus.
