Labor and Delivery Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor and delivery, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for childbirth. Collaborate with healthcare teams to monitor patient progress and facilitate smooth delivery processes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor laboring patients to detect changes in condition.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed by the healthcare provider.
• Support patients physically and emotionally throughout labor and delivery.
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMR.
• Assist with procedures such as epidurals, fetal monitoring, and labor checks.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, confidentiality, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience.
• Experience with EPIC EMR system essential.
• Basic life support (BLS) and NRP certifications obtained.
• AWHONN Beginner/Intermediate, FHM, and BLS required; ACLS and AWHONN Advanced preferred.
• Knowledge of triage, labor checks, and postpartum care advantageous.
