Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical​/Tele

Job Summary:

The Medical Surgical/Tele Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care to adult patients in a tele capable unit. They will operate within a fast-paced environment, ensuring patient safety and compliance with hospital protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to adult patients in the Medical Surgical/Tele unit.
• Monitor patient vital signs and assess patient conditions regularly.
• Administer medications, including Heparin, Insulin, and PCA, following prescribed protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient information accurately in EPIC electronic medical records.
• Assist with isolation precautions, starting IVs, blood product administration, and rapid response protocols.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Must pass the Pass/Fail EKG exam during onboarding.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Medical Surgical/Tele nursing.
• EPIC EMR experience is required.
• BLS certification from an approved provider.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check with no open cases.
