Registered Nurse – IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC, PCU, or Stepdown units during night shifts. Deliver high-quality, focused care to cardiac and respiratory patients, ensuring safety and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor cardiac and respiratory patients, including those with CHF, NSTEMI, arrhythmias, COPD, and pneumonia.
• Implement and document care plans based on patient needs and physician orders.
• Administer medications and treatments following protocols and patient safety standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform and interpret EKGs, and pass compliance exams as required.
• Float across facilities and departments as needed, maintaining flexibility.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active nursing license at the time of submission.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac or stepdown units.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of cardiac and respiratory conditions, including CHF, NSTEMI, arrhythmias, COPD, and pneumonia.
• Proficient in EPIC EMR system use.
• Able to pass a compliance EKG exam within two attempts.
• Must have ACLS and BLS certifications.
