Nurse Technician and Sitter

Cone Health seeks a compassionate Nurse Technician and Sitter to support nursing staff in delivering safe, high-quality patient care. In this role, you will provide direct bedside assistance, including vital signs monitoring, hygiene, mobility support, and continuous 1:1 observation to ensure patient safety and prevent falls or self-harm. You will accurately document in electronic health records, promptly report changes in patient condition, and follow strict infection control and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and document patients' vital signs and condition changes
• Provide basic bedside care, including hygiene, nutrition, and mobility assistance
• Serve as a 1:1 sitter ensuring patient safety and fall prevention
• Promptly report clinical and behavioral changes to the nursing team
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EHR systems
• Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality protocols
• Assist nursing staff with procedures and transport as directed
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team
