American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN with Epic experience and AWHONN/NRP certification for a hospital-based labor and delivery unit.
Details- 18-bed Labor and Delivery unit caring for high-acuity laboring patients
- Day shift, 3x12-hour schedule, 7:00am-7:30pm
- Every other weekend required, with holidays scheduled as needed
- Floating required to MAU, MBU, OBSC, and other Cone Health campuses as needed
- Uses Epic EMR, as well as Triton and Surgi Count systems
- Active NC or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Skilled in labor and delivery management including vaginal delivery, C-section circulation, and high-risk delivery assistance
- Experience with fetal monitoring including EFM, IUPC placement, and recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Experience managing high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, placenta previa, and VBAC trials of labor
- Experience administering medications such as Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, and antihypertensives
- Current driver's license required to verify address for local radius compliance
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients including antepartum, delivery, and postpartum stages
- Assist with neonatal care in the delivery room including APGAR scoring and neonatal resuscitation
- Support pain management interventions including epidural anesthesia and nitrous oxide
- All RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding, with two attempts allowed
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, as no local rates apply
