Emergency Department Registered Nurse - Night Shift
This is a 13-week contract position.
3x12 Hour Night Shift (19:00 - 07:30). This includes 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6 weeks.
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide care to patients in a fast-paced environment, managing a variety of patient diagnoses and critical situations. The ideal candidate will be skilled in handling acute care settings and be prepared to respond to emergency cases with competence and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Administer treatments and medications as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Monitor patient conditions and assess their needs to provide the best possible care.
- Perform triage and manage patient flow in the Emergency Department efficiently.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions and care plans.
- Utilize proper infection control techniques and maintain a safe environment.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department required.
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications required; CPI, PALS, and TNCC preferred.
- Experience with Epic electronic charting system is mandatory.
- Previous charge RN and Level 2 Trauma experience preferred.
- Active RN license must be in hand at submission.
