Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Greensboro, NC | Acute Care

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every 3rd Weekend Required | Holidays as Needed

• Provide specialized inpatient rehabilitation nursing care for patients with CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injuries, neurological diagnoses, and generalized debility, including post-stroke, post-aneurysm, and post-operative surgical patients
• Perform clinical skills including vital signs, dressing changes, aseptic/sterile procedure tray setup, phlebotomy, capillary blood draws, and specimen labeling and collection (throat, urine UA clean catch)
• Conduct medication reconciliation, interpretation of laboratory results, and patient health questionnaire/history and allergy documentation
• Manage telephone triage and pharmacy calls including patient refill requests
• Float between all health system campuses as needed
• Complete unit-based orientation modules (non-billable, averaging 2–4 hours, completed during orientation)

• Active RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience — first-time travelers will not be considered
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Third-party education verification required; degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list will not be accepted
• No open background check cases permitted
• Current driver's license required to verify address
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Acute Care Rehabilitation nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience caring for patients with neurological diagnoses, spinal cord injuries, or post-surgical rehabilitation needs
• Comfort with variable patient ratios (1:6 standard, with rotating assignments up to 7 patients of equivalent acuity)

• Opportunity to work within a specialized inpatient rehabilitation unit providing high-acuity, meaningful care to patients on their road to recovery
• Gain experience across multiple campuses within a large, established health system
