DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-functioning Progressive Care Unit (PCU) requiring cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia management experience.
Details- Work in a high-level, high-functioning PCU with multiple long-term patients
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- Day shift schedule of 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Holiday rotation required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required to any Cone Health campus as needed
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Active RN license (NC or Compact) in hand at time of consideration
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Cardiac telemetry experience required
- Experience with management and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Peripheral line and PICC line care/management experience
- Experience titrating drips
- Must pass a compliance EKG exam (Pass/Fail, two attempts allowed)
- Current driver's license required to verify address
- Responsibilities include respiratory support, IV therapy, blood product administration, central and peripheral line management, and wound care
- Cardiac monitoring and emergency response duties including dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and non-invasive airway management preferred
- Experience with IV insulin protocols and titration preferred
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
- RTO must be submitted with the application; post-submission RTO requests are not accepted
