The Town of Wayland seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated Community Health/School Nurse to provide essential community health care to students and staff at the Wayland Middle School and Wayland Public Schools. If you have a passion for student health and wellness, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of middle school students and staff.
The Community Health/School Nurse is responsible for providing a wide range of health services to students including routine and emergency care, and medication administration. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
Experience: Over two (2) years of experience in school, pediatric, community health or comparable nursing experience.
Licenses/Certificates:
- Registered professional nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Current certifications in Adult and Pediatric BLS CPR/First Aid/AED or certifications obtained prior to start.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) Nurse Licensure preferred, but not required
