About the Role:

The Facility Staffing Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a critical role in delivering compassionate and high-quality care to patients within healthcare and social assistance settings. This position is responsible for supporting nursing staff by providing direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents. The CNA will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to monitor patient conditions, report changes, and contribute to individualized care plans.

This role demands a strong commitment to patient dignity, privacy, and respect while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies. Ultimately, the CNA helps improve patient outcomes and enhances the overall experience of care within the facility.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification recognized in the United States.
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
• Basic understanding of patient care procedures and infection control standards.
• Ability to pass a background check and meet health screening requirements.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working as a CNA in a long-term care or acute care facility.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Additional training or certification in specialized care areas such as dementia or hospice care.
• Demonstrated ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding as needed.
• Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, and report any abnormalities to nursing staff.
• Provide mobility assistance to patients, including transferring, repositioning, and ambulation to prevent complications such as pressure ulcers.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of patient rooms and common areas, ensuring infection control protocols are followed.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to support coordinated care and address patient needs promptly.
