Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift position requiring NC or compact RN license and Epic experience.

• Active NC or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• CPI, PALS, and TNCC certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent ED experience required
• Charge RN experience preferred
• Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management
• Experience in shock/trauma care including gunshot wounds
• Experience in pediatric emergency care including head injury
• Isolation precautions and PPE knowledge required

• Emergency Department setting caring for general adult/pediatric patients
• Patient ratios of approximately 1:4-5 depending on staffing and volume
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend commitment of 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6 weeks
• Holiday coverage as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Travelers may be floated to any campus within the health system as needed
• Epic EMR experience required
• Provide emergency care across general adult and pediatric populations
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam with two attempts allowed; study materials are not provided by the facility
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, and no local rates apply
