Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring cardiac telemetry experience and Epic proficiency.

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Cardiac telemetry experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skills in BiPAP/CPAP management, ABG interpretation, IV therapy, and central line care preferred
• Experience with cardiac drip titration, CVP monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation preferred
• Teaching hospital and charge nurse experience preferred
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam with up to two attempts allowed
• Current driver's license required to verify address

• PCU/Cardiac Telemetry unit setting with a focus on cardiac and respiratory patients
• Patient population includes Heart Failure, NSTEMI, Respiratory Failure, COPD, and Pneumonia diagnoses
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required with holiday coverage as needed
• Floating required to any Cone Health campus as needed
• Epic EMR experience required
• Provide cardiac telemetry care with a secondary focus on respiratory conditions
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and respond to dysrhythmias and emergencies
• Manage feeding tubes, isolation precautions, and IV insulin protocols as needed
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Prior travel experience is not required
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, and no local candidates will be accepted
• RTO must be submitted with the initial application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted
