American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring NC or compact RN license and EPIC experience.
Details- General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients
- Patient ratios of 1:4-5 depending on staffing and patient volume
- Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Requires 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days every 6 weeks
- Holiday coverage required as needed
- No on-call requirements
- May be floated to any campus within the health system as needed
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Active NC or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Preferred certifications: CPI, PALS, TNCC
- EPIC charting system experience required
- Previous Charge RN experience preferred
- Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
- Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central line care
- Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and EKG monitoring
- Experience in triage and isolation precautions/PPE
- Provide emergency care across a wide range of cases including trauma, cardiac, neurological, and pediatric emergencies
- Work within a Level I and Level II Trauma Center environment
- Must pass a compliance EKG exam with up to two attempts allowed
- Complete unit-based orientation modules during onboarding
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- RTO must be submitted at time of application; no changes accepted after submission
