Job Opportunity – Pediatric Medical-Surgical / Hematology-Oncology Registered Nurse – North Carolina
Start Date: October 12, 2026
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour day shifts (06:45 - 19:15), 36 hours per week, every other weekend required
Highlights:
- Patient population includes ages 0-17 with medical-surgical and hematology/oncology diagnoses
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 across all shifts
- 13-week contract with self-scheduling flexibility
- Epic charting system with PYXIS and SBAR protocols
- 24-hour orientation with comprehensive onboarding support
- Float requirements to PICU and NICU; no on-call required
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric nursing experience required
- Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
- Current BLS and PALS certifications required
- Chemotherapy administration experience and certification strongly preferred
- IV start and phlebotomy skills preferred
- Experience with central line care, port management, and pediatric oncology preferred
- First-time travelers accepted if they meet experience requirements
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
