Emergency Veterinarian at CVS GreensboroJoin our team as a Part‑Time Veterinarian with predictable hours and a consistent home hospital assignment. You'll enjoy flexibility while working alongside a locally led care team supported by national resources.
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Emergency Veterinarian to join our team at Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Greensboro, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high‑quality veterinary care and possess excellent communication skills to build lasting relationships with our clients. You will work alongside a team of experienced veterinarians, technicians, and support staff and will work closely with the Hospital Manager and Regional Manager.
We are also open to Relief Veterinarians willing to pick up shifts!
Carolina Veterinary Specialists (CVS) is a group of six full‑service emergency & specialty referral facilities in the Carolinas, with locations in Huntersville, Charlotte, Matthews, Rock Hill, Greensboro, and Winston‑Salem. Each location provides multiple referral specialties, as well as 24‑hour emergency and critical care. Greensboro and Winston‑Salem also have a Board Certified Criticalist, as well as a VTS certified technician. CVS Greensboro is a proud member of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS).
VECCS identifies a Level II center as a 24‑hour acute emergency and critical care facility with the medical staff, personnel and training required to provide emergent and critical patient care. We have the medical staff, personnel, and training required to provide emergent and critical patient care.

- Evaluate and monitor protocols for the daily running of the hospital from intake to discharge
- Monitor cases in the hospital and attend daily rounds when possible to be sure the highest standards are being upheld
- Participate in practice management updates and training at all levels
- Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
- Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university
- Current State Veterinary License
- DEA registration must be obtained and maintained
- 1+ years of experience in emergency practice
