Medical Technologist & Lab Technician
A leading healthcare organization is seeking a certified Pathologists' Assistant to join a thriving pathology lab at its main hospital in gorgeous southeastern North Carolina — a role opening up due to retirements and tremendous, sustained growth. This is a true Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5pm role, with no nights, weekends, or holidays required — a genuinely rare schedule in the lab world.
Working under the direction of a pathologist, you'll independently perform gross examination, dissection, description, and preparation of surgical pathology specimens, prepare specimens for frozen section microscopy and intraoperative evaluation, and select and prepare tissue for special studies including flow cytometry. You'll collaborate daily with pathologists, histotechnologists, cytotechnologists, preparation technicians, and lab leadership inside a modern, well-equipped lab at a 950-bed, non-profit Level 3 trauma regional medical center with nearly 70 years of community trust.
With a strong base salary, large sign-on bonus, and a schedule that actually lets you enjoy your life outside of work, this is a Pathology Assistant role built for the long term.
