Description:

Develop and maintain a quality system to ensure that all products provided by suppliers meet AAR and end-user specifications; and are suitable for their intended use.

What you will be responsible for:

Support the quality assurance program to ensure conformity of purchased material and final products.
Develop and maintain a published supplier quality index in conjunction with the supplier review board to ensure that only high quality vendors are retained.
Maintain the facility Corrective and Preventative Action System.
Meets with vendors, customers, quality representatives, and company personnel to discuss and resolve quality problems as required.
Prepares for and represents the company during all ISO 9000, NADCAP, and related audits.
Conducts ISO internal audits on-site. Performs ISO audits at other AAR facilities.
Prepares all necessary reports as required by customers and staff personnel.
Function as chairperson of the facility Supplier Review Board
Reviews technical problems and procedures of departments and recommends solutions to problems or changes in procedures.
Ensure that all incoming transfers and RMRs are processed properly.
Assist Quality Control personnel in reviewing and updating department standards.
Promote the pursuit of continuous improvement.
Administer effective training and on the job training of Quality Control Inspectors
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Travel is required.
All other duties as assigned.

What you will need to be successful in this role:

Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A minimum of five (5) years' quality assurance experience is required.
A formal Quality Assurance credential from a recognized quality association is preferred.
Exposure to Warehouse Operations is required.
PC Literate (Microsoft Office)
FAA A&P License required.
