Job Purpose

Develop the Honda Aircraft Quality Management System (QMS) including identification/resolution of quality problems quickly to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain quality competitiveness. Review multiple data sources to evaluate, summarize and draw conclusions to identify trends that lead to countermeasure activity.

• As a company-wide function, develop, maintain, and assure adherence to the Honda Aircraft Quality Management Policy (QMP).
  • Use engineering fundamentals to identify and resolve issues to improve business practices by leading working groups with Quality representatives and subject matter experts.
    • Utilize various data sources (internal and external) such as normal warranty issues, surveys, ADs, FAA SDRs, CAs, QNs.
• Be a resource to business units and divisions on concerns related to Quality data, corrective action procedures, audits, training, and other items as needed.
• Develop clear QMS supplements, standards and procedures.
• Look for data trends not previously identified through deep understanding of the data.
• Support cleaning data to ensure proper classification of market problems.
• Transform data using SQL, Python, etc to identify trends that lead to actionable problems and defend analysis to promote for countermeasure activity.
• Generate groupings to support identification and classification of market problems.
• Utilize modelling, statistics, and trend analysis to forecast future failure rates for known problems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Economics or Computer Science; or equivalent and strongly-related experience.
• 7+ years of related experience.
• 2 years of experience at a Honda company.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO
  9001/AS9100) or Regulatory Quality Systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

• L3 Business plan theme or IT theme milestones completed on schedule with expected results.
• Product and business improvement proposals developed to meet prescribed planning cycle requirements.
• Develop Business Unit/Department KPIs based on data analysis and research.

• Decide best countermeasure for audit non-conformities.
• Decide best options for business improvement reflections to the QMS.
• Decide best improvements to system issues.

• Highly collaborative open office environment.
• At the spot judgement to understand actual situation during issue analysis.
• Occasional domestic and international travel for training, business collaboration, and benchmarking.
