Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Technician with a strong background in metals manufacturing to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of metal fabrication processes, precision measurement tools, and quality control systems used in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform in-depth inspections of fabricated metal parts and assemblies using precision measurement instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, CMMs).
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Conduct process audits, first article inspections (FAIs), and final product verifications.
- Investigate nonconformities, conduct root cause analyses, and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
- Support production teams with real-time quality feedback to improve process stability and reduce waste.
- Maintain inspection records and prepare reports for management, customers, and auditors.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and supplier quality teams to ensure continuous improvement in product and process performance.
- Train junior technicians and production personnel on quality standards and inspection methods.
- Assist in maintaining ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management system compliance.
- Associate degree in Quality, Manufacturing Technology, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in a metals or precision manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with metrology equipment and statistical process control (SPC).
- Strong understanding of material properties, machining, welding, and heat treatment.
- Experience with CMM programming and measurement software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Zeiss CALYPSO) is a plus.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Certification such as ASQ CQT, CQI, or Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
