- Quality Control Quality Inspector – Manufacturing Start-Up
Overview:
This position provides technical support to the quality engineering function,assisting in the development of quality procedures and practices. The role includes identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, andparticipatingin Continuous Improvement/Kaizen initiatives. Additionally, the technician will support inspector and operator training, conduct quality audits, andmaintaininspectionequipment and calibration processes.
- Perform visual, dimensional, and functional testing & inspections.
- Interpret and follow established quality procedures and documentation.
- Inspect and test materials and equipment to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Approve or reject finished products and collaborate with the production team to discuss inspection results.
- Recommend process adjustments to improve product quality and consistency.
- Accurately document inspection results in a database.
- Train, coach, and support inspectors and operators in established methods and procedures.
- Support and help maintain 5S standards across the plant, including conducting audits.
- Identify and report potential safety hazards throughout the facility.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of Quality Technician experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Basic ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Experience drafting reports and collecting data.
- Familiarity with measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, microscopes, thickness gauges, and CMM.
- Strong visual awareness for detecting quality defects.
- Ability to work independently with advanced organizational skills.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Capability to learn and navigate ERP/database software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in quality manage mentor related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to push, pull, lift, and move objects up to 25 pounds.
- Strong vision abilities, including close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
