Overview:

This position provides technical support to the quality engineering function,assisting in the development of quality procedures and practices. The role includes identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, andparticipatingin Continuous Improvement/Kaizen initiatives. Additionally, the technician will support inspector and operator training, conduct quality audits, andmaintaininspectionequipment and calibration processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform visual, dimensional, and functional testing & inspections.
Interpret and follow established quality procedures and documentation.
Inspect and test materials and equipment to ensure compliance with specifications.
Approve or reject finished products and collaborate with the production team to discuss inspection results.
Recommend process adjustments to improve product quality and consistency.
Accurately document inspection results in a database.
Train, coach, and support inspectors and operators in established methods and procedures.
Support and help maintain 5S standards across the plant, including conducting audits.
Identify and report potential safety hazards throughout the facility.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of 2 years of Quality Technician experience in a manufacturing setting.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and ability to meet deadlines.
Basic ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Experience drafting reports and collecting data.
Familiarity with measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, microscopes, thickness gauges, and CMM.
Strong visual awareness for detecting quality defects.
Ability to work independently with advanced organizational skills.
Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Capability to learn and navigate ERP/database software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in quality manage mentor related field.
2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to push, pull, lift, and move objects up to 25 pounds.
Strong vision abilities, including close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
