Research and Development Formulation Summer Intern

Job Description

Syngenta Crop Protection is recruiting a summer intern to work in Formulation Development in Greensboro, NC.

  • Type:
    Full-time (40 hours/week), on-site position
  • Compensation: $21-$40 per hour
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Under the guidance of a Formulation Scientist, the intern will plan and conduct laboratory experiments for the development and characterization of chemical formulations for agrochemical and pest control markets. Project work will involve evaluations of formulation shelf-life stability, physical and chemical phenomena, and biological performance.
  • A variety of instrumentation and measurement techniques may be learned and deployed, such as Water Activity, Particle Sizing, Rheology, Optical & Electron Microscopy, Spectroscopy, Porosimetry, Thermal Analysis, etc.
  • The intern will operate in accordance with Syngenta Health, Safety, & Environmental (HSE) standards.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Current enrollment in an accredited college/university pursuing one of the following B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. degrees:
    • Microbiology
    • Biology
    • Chemistry
    • Materials Science
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Related technical discipline
  • Available for full-time work during May 2026-August 2026
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with laboratory techniques
  • Familiarity with data analysis
