Purpose of the Organizational Unit:
The mission of the CYFCP is to educate, advocate, and collaborate with individuals and systems to promote the well-being of youth and families.
Position Summary:The CYFCP Assistant Director of Evaluation provides leadership for evaluation and applied research activities across CYFCP programs. This role leads day-to-day evaluation operations for assigned initiatives, strengthens evaluation infrastructure and quality assurance processes, and provides evaluation consultation and technical assistance to program teams. The Assistant Director of Evaluation directly supervises evaluation personnel, including Research Assistants, Graduate Assistants, and other evaluation support roles as assigned, and ensures evaluation deliverables are completed with accuracy, consistency, and timeliness to meet CYFCP and funder expectations.
Minimum Qualifications:- Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required; for candidates demonstrating comparable independent research productivity, will accept a relevant undergraduate degree and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution.
- May require terminal degree and licensure.
- Effective skills in time management, organization, and professional communication.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite tools and coordinating virtual meetings (e.g., via a platform like Zoom or Teams).
- Experience working in a research- and/or evaluation-related capacity.

Essential Tasks:- Oversee day-to-day evaluation staffing operations for assigned programs by coordinating coverage, distributing workload, and ensuring continuity across active projects.
- Establish weekly priorities, assign tasks, and monitor progress across evaluation staff and trainees.
- Ensure staff have clear expectations and access to the tools, templates, and guidance needed to complete work efficiently and with quality.
- Maintain appropriate documentation of assignments and progress, and provide routine feedback to support performance, growth, and accountability.
