- Responsible for food production process in the kitchen, ensuring meals are prepared safely, timely, and efficiently
- Adhere to State, County, and Department food standards and regulations
- Ensure meal quality and presentation meet expectations
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization, ensuring all health and safety standards are met
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to provide exceptional food service to residents
- Handle food preparation, cooking, and serving with attention to detail and care
- Experience in food preparation (1-2 years preferred)
- Ability to demonstrate commitment to guest relations
- Proficiency in standard math and measurement
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and ability to handle a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English to effectively communicate and complete required tasks, including training and documentation
- Previous experience in a large-scale or institutional food setting
- Culinary school training or certification (preferred but not required)
- Ability to follow complex recipes and meal preparation instructions
