The Landscape Account Manager is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience by serving as the primary liaison between clients and the company. This role focuses on building and maintaining long-term, mutually beneficial relationships through consistent, proactive communication and superior customer service. The Account Manager will act as a trusted advisor, ensuring the short- and long-term care of client properties while supporting internal teams to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities Client Relations & Customer Service- Serve as the primary point of contact for all client communications and service-related matters.
- Build strong, long-lasting relationships with clients to become their go-to resource for all exterior property needs.
- Maintain a 95% client retention rate through proactive engagement and timely responsiveness.
- Manage and set clear expectations in alignment with service agreements.
- Facilitate resolution of client concerns by coordinating with internal teams and providing timely feedback.
- Actively develop a network of client referrals through exceptional service delivery.
- Conduct regular site inspections for the top 35% of revenue-generating clients, with additional inspections as needed for the remaining portfolio.
- Accurately communicate client expectations and service needs to operations teams.
- Provide ongoing feedback to production and field staff regarding site conditions, service quality, and performance.
- Set and uphold clear quality standards for landscape care across all client properties.
- Ensure properties are maintained to exceed expectations—free of weeds, well-pruned, and consistently manicured.
- Monitor and verify the use of best horticultural practices through structured inspections.
- Communicate site conditions and quality performance to property managers and clients.
- Proactively identify and present enhancement proposals tailored to client needs and seasonal opportunities.
- Provide input on the appropriate staffing levels and qualifications required for high-quality service delivery.
- Offer recommendations regarding equipment quantity and condition to support operational efficiency.
- Maintain a 95% customer renewal rate and support the achievement of overall sales goals.
- Prepare and present timely, professional renewal proposals.
- Develop accurate service estimates that reflect target gross profit margins.
- Assist with accounts receivable follow-ups as needed to support financial goals.
- Adhere to established company systems and processes, ensuring consistency and efficiency in service delivery.
- Provide input on system and process improvements to drive better outcomes with reduced effort.
- Allocate time efficiently:
- 50% Field-based client interaction
- 50% Office/Administrative tasks (remote or in-office)
- Execute seasonal planning initiatives and proposal strategies tailored to client needs.
- Maintain ongoing follow-up via email, voicemail, and text to ensure clear and open communication.
- Foster transparent client relationships to support achievement of sales and renewal objectives.
