HIRING IMMEDIATELY
Sunstates Security is currently hiring licensed and experienced Flex Security Officers for all days and shifts to work at multiple sites in the Greensboro Region. This position offers a pay range of $15.00 - $17.00/hr (paid weekly).

• Previous security, law enforcement, or security experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Good communication skills.
• Great customer service skills.
• A team player attitude.
• Flexibility to work when called on — 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift — with 24 hours’ notice or less.

The Flex Officer position is crucial to our company’s operational and financial success. The flex officer provides trained, competent support by working shifts that become open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes, enabling Sunstates to provide continual, uninterrupted service to our customers while protecting the health and work balance of our personnel.

The scheduling parameters and expectations for a Flex Officer differ from those of an employee assigned to a fixed post. As a Flex:

• You will be trained at various posts and/or facilities based on operational need. A post may vary in location and duration based on need.
• Your schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week, etc.) will vary based on operational need.
• You will be assigned to, or offered the opportunity to accept, shifts as they become available due to staffing needs.
• Some shifts will be scheduled in advance; some may be called with short notice to cover for others.
• You are expected to work any scheduled shift within your described availability, and you must communicate any upcoming unavailability with your supervisor.

The company expects short-notice call-ins to work at least 80% of the shifts for which you are called. Refusing more than 20% of such shifts could negatively impact employment status.

A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer should read and become knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP, and be able to act quickly and efficiently according to those directives.

  High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: PPSB License.
