Temporary Parking Enforcement Officer​/Property Security Officer

Position Overview

The purpose of the Enforcement Officer position is to routinely patrol campus using a vehicle equipped with mobile License Plate Recognition to ensure compliance with all State, Federal, and University policies and laws regarding parking. Candidates should have a good understanding of Microsoft Outlook, radio protocol, customer service best practices, and a willingness to learn new technology and software.

This position may require occasional weekend or evening work.

• Patrol campus using vehicle with mobile License Plate Recognition to enforce parking regulations.
• Issue citations to motorists violating University policies.
• Issue parking permits to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
• Assist in maintaining University parking and transit infrastructure.
• Coordinate with Parking and Transportation Services to support campus events and transit operations.

• Minimum:
  High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred: 1-2 years experience in security, parking, or related field; familiarity with T2 or other parking software.
• Valid NC Driver's License.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to use Microsoft Outlook and radio protocols.
• Comfortable learning new technologies and software.

8 am – 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Occasional weekend or evening work may be required to assist with campus events.

$20 per hour. Temporary – Full-time. Non-Exempt under FLSA.
