Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Armed Patrol Surveillance in Greensboro, NC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. - Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious behavior to the appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken during the shift.
- Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess at least 5 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
