Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $24-$32/ per hour

Position Summary

The Plumbing Mechanic is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems on commercial construction projects. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction.

A Journeyman Plumber License is preferred but not required.

Technical Responsibilities

* Install, maintain, and repair commercial plumbing systems

* Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards

* Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents

* Coordinate work activities with other trades on multi-craft construction sites

* Deliver professional, high-quality workmanship on all assignments

* Use tools, equipment, and materials safely and effectively

Safety & Compliance

* Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies

* Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)

* Identify and report unsafe conditions immediately

* Participate in safety meetings and promote safe work practices

* Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment

Problem Solving & Coordination

* Identify issues, discrepancies, or potential project concerns and communicate them promptly

* Assist in developing solutions to jobsite challenges

* Escalate complex issues to Lead Mechanics or Foremen when appropriate

* Prepare tools, materials, and equipment for daily work activities

* Help ensure materials are stored, protected, and utilized efficiently

Communication & Teamwork

* Communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors and team members

* Follow instructions accurately and seek clarification when needed

* Support a positive, collaborative jobsite culture

* Contribute to team success through cooperation, accountability, and professionalism

Qualifications

* Several years of plumbing experience in commercial or industrial construction environments

* Journeyman Plumber License preferred but not required

* Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, installation methods, and repair practices

* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

* Dependable, safety-focused, and self-motivated

* Strong communication and teamwork skills

* Ability to successfully pass a post-offer drug screen and applicable background checks
