Canter Power Systems LLC seeks an Electrical Lead for standby generator installation to oversee turnkey residential and light commercial projects. Based in the field, you'll lead crews installing wiring, transfer switches, and panels, commission systems, and ensure work meets NEC, local code, and manufacturer standards. You'll troubleshoot issues, perform start ups, and provide customer walk throughs. This role emphasizes safety, craftsmanship, and teamwork in a customer focused environment, with strong training, growth opportunities, and exposure to cutting edge backup power solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead installation of residential and light commercial standby generators
  • Oversee electrical wiring, panel connections, and system commissioning
  • Interpret electrical plans, codes, and manufacturer specifications
  • Perform service, troubleshooting, and load testing on generator systems
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, local codes, and safety standards
  • Train and mentor installation helpers and junior technicians
  • Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and homeowners
  • Document work performed and maintain accurate job records
  • Conduct pre- and post-installation inspections
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in safe condition
