About Greensboro Holiday Lights
We're the Triad's largest holiday lighting company, with over a decade of experience and 100+ homes and businesses every season. Our work includes the Mack Trucks holiday display along I-40, Old Dominion Freight Line HQ, and the Downtown Greensboro Festival of Lights. We design, install, maintain, take down, and store every display, so our customers never have to touch a ladder.

We're looking for
People to hang Christmas lights on homes and businesses this season. Many of our roofs are very steep. If you're comfortable up high and working safely, this is a great way to earn serious money before the holidays.

Pay
You're paid per job, not by the hour.

• Installs: The crew splits 20% of the job's value. Most crews are 2 people, so that's 10% each. Our installers typically average $40+ per hour.
• Teardowns: The crew splits 5% of the job's value. Teardowns go fast and are mostly done from the ground.
• The faster and cleaner you work, the more you earn.

Season timeline

• Early October: installs begin
• Late October - mid/late November: peak season, full schedule
• First two weeks of December: final installs
• January: teardowns (may run into February if weather delays us)

Schedule
Up to 7 days a week during install season, depending on weather. Busy days run long, from about 7:00 AM until 6:00-7:00 PM. Crews leave from our Greensboro warehouse.

What you'll do

• Hang C9 roofline lights, wreaths, garland, and ground/landscape lighting using our approved clips and hardware
• Work on steep 1- and 2-story roofs
• Set up and move ladders, run power, and install timers
• Take displays down, then label and pack them in January

Must have

• Comfortable and confident working on very steep roofs. This is the #1 requirement.
• Willing to use approved safety hardware on every job, every time
• Reliable transportation, on time every day
• Able to carry ladders and work outdoors in cold weather
• Available for long days, up to 7 days a week, October - mid-December
• 18 or older
• Past experience hanging Christmas lights professionally
• Roofing, gutter, siding, painting, solar, or other at-height work
