The Sprinkler Fitter is a full-time, on-site role based in the Carolinas, but we have work across the nation, responsible for installing, assembling, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems in a variety of commercial and industrial settings. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting blueprints, measuring and cutting pipe, fitting and securing sprinkler components, and using hand tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

The role involves working with a team to ensure systems meet code requirements, project specifications, and company quality standards, as well as performing testing, inspections, and basic troubleshooting of installed systems. The Sprinkler Fitter also collaborates with project managers, supervisors, and other trades on scheduling, site coordination, and adherence to safety protocols. Maintaining a clean, organized work area and following all workplace safety and life safety procedures are essential aspects of the position.

• Knowledge of sprinkler systems and fire protection components, including the ability to understand system layouts and basic life safety requirements.
• Proficiency in working with pipe, including measuring, cutting, threading, and installing various pipe materials used in sprinkler installations.
• Skill in using hand tools and related equipment safely and effectively for assembly, installation, and maintenance tasks.
• Experience in sprinkler installation, testing, and inspection, with attention to quality, compliance, and safety standards.
• Understanding of relevant building codes, NFPA standards, and local regulations related to fire protection systems.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and to work collaboratively with project teams on-site.
• Strong problem-solving skills, reliability, and the capacity to work in physically demanding environments, including lifting, working at heights, and in varying weather conditions.
• Prior experience as a sprinkler fitter or in a related trade; apprenticeship or certification in fire protection or pipe fitting is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to job sites within the Carolinas and other regions as needed.
