We are seeking an experienced Traveling Licensed HVAC Technician to support multiple skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities. This position will travel between locations to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and service HVAC and related mechanical systems.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, knowledgeable, and able to work independently while responding to the needs of multiple healthcare facilities. The right candidate understands the importance of keeping HVAC systems operational in a healthcare environment where resident comfort, safety, and reliability are critical.
Key Responsibilities- Travel to multiple skilled nursing facilities to perform HVAC service and repairs.
- Diagnose and repair heating, cooling, ventilation, and related mechanical equipment.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC systems.
- Respond to urgent HVAC issues at facilities as needed.
- Troubleshoot packaged units, split systems, heat pumps, air handlers, exhaust systems, thermostats, controls, and other related equipment.
- Identify failing equipment and recommend appropriate repairs or replacement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, preventive maintenance, parts, and equipment condition.
- Work directly with facility maintenance staff and leadership to resolve HVAC concerns.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors when additional support is required.
- Maintain clean and safe mechanical rooms and work areas.
- Assist facilities with maintaining HVAC systems in a safe, reliable, and survey-ready condition.
- Follow company safety policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Valid HVAC license/certification as required for the work performed.
- Commercial HVAC troubleshooting and repair experience preferred.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
- Ability to diagnose problems and complete repairs with minimal supervision.
- Healthcare, skilled nursing, hospital, assisted living, or other commercial facility experience is preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly between company facilities.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Dependable, organized, and able to prioritize service needs across multiple locations.
- Professional and comfortable working in an occupied healthcare environment.
We are looking for a hands-on HVAC technician who can travel where needed and take ownership of HVAC issues from diagnosis through completion. This is not a position assigned to just one facility. The technician will support multiple skilled nursing locations and work closely with facility maintenance teams to keep HVAC equipment operating properly and minimize downtime.
