Fitness Center Attendant – Brunswick Community College

Part‑time fitness center attendant responsible for the general supervision of a fitness center. The attendant welcomes guests and works to ensure that they have a safe and enjoyable experience. This position maintains weights and cardiovascular fitness areas, ensuring all equipment is clean, functioning properly, and used according to facility rules.

• Set up, maintain and clean equipment
• Welcome guests
• Explain programs and activities
• Teach guests how to use equipment
• Provide basic fitness information
• Help promote facility programs and activities
• Report and resolve complaints
• Organize special events
• Maintain attendance records
• Enforce rules and regulations

• Outgoing personality, love of fitness, knowledge of a fitness facility and physiology
• Strong communication skills and ability to teach others
• Must be able to lift at least 45 pounds and move/ set up equipment
• Flexible schedule to work some mornings, evenings, and Saturdays
• Basic computer skills
• Customer service experience
• CPR/First Aid certification (if not currently held, must complete within first 3 months)
• Personal training certification (preferred but not required)

Part‑time, under 25 hours per week with option to advance in other areas of the facility.
