Yard Manager

Job Description

Essential Functions

• Inspect newly released buses for damage, document findings, and coordinate repairs with the manufacturing plant.
• Prepare released units for transfer to the storage yard and maintain accurate inventory of units throughout the staging and storage process.
• Locate and track buses throughout the yard, including monitoring repair status and ensuring inventory accuracy through daily audits.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with manufacturer sales teams and other key stakeholders.
• Coordinate daily transportation activities by communicating with carriers, monitoring pickups and deliveries, and reassigning shipments as needed to meet delivery commitments.
• Update manufacturer portals with accurate delivery, repair, and breakdown information.
• Maintain accurate records of bus inventory and movement throughout the yard.
• Complete additional administrative and operational tasks as assigned while maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

Physical Abilities and Work Environment

• Must have the ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical agility to include, but may not be limited to, walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing, pulling, stretching, climbing and balancing.

Requirements

• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in logistics, inventory management, or yard operations preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new software systems.
