Overview

The Warehouse & Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all inbound operations, including receiving, unloading and put‑away. This role ensures materials are received accurately, processed efficiently, and stored properly to support downstream operations. The Supervisor leads teams, enforces operational standards, and drives accountability across inbound processes while maintaining safety and productivity goals.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily receiving, unloading, inspection, and put‑away operations
  • Ensure all inbound shipments are received accurately, timely, and properly documented
  • Operate and oversee VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) equipment, including put‑away and retrieval (put/pull operations)
  • Manage and execute production requests and material requests to support internal operations and workflow continuity
  • Lead, train, and develop employees; issue and document corrective actions as necessary
  • Monitor team performance, productivity, and attendance; drive accountability across the shift
  • Review and approve employee payroll and timekeeping records
  • Ensure accurate system transactions and maintain inventory integrity using WMS (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred)
  • Coordinate dock schedules, labor planning, and equipment utilization to maximize inbound efficiency
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely flow of goods
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA safety standards and internal warehouse procedures
  • Partner cross‑functionally with fulfillment, inventory, production, and transportation teams to ensure seamless product flow
  • Create and deliver daily shift reports, KPI updates, and operational communications
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred or 3–5+ years of leadership experience in distribution operations
  • Strong knowledge of fulfillment operations (pick/pack/ship workflows)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or similar WMS preferred
  • Proven experience handling employee performance management and corrective actions
  • Experience with timekeeping/payroll systems and approvals
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment
