LOADER Freezer Warehouse - 1st shift (8am start)
Responsible for safe, accurate and efficient loading of finished pallets of product onto assigned trailers for delivery to the retail stores.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Read load sheet or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or pallets to be moved.
- Prepare for assignment of doors and loads.
- Conduct daily operator checklist - Powered Industrial Equipment Inspection.
- Load materials into trailer and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
- Place load lock in proper location on trailer and put invoices in trailer before finalizing load.
- Ensure that all cube break selecting tags and the trailer numbers are recorded on the door sheet.
- Transfer store number and trailer number of finished loads to the daily loadsheet.
- Notify dispatch when a store load is complete in MDS to have the switcher to have trailer moved from door.
- Follow company attendance policy by coming to work on time and when scheduled.
- Follow company's safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure trailers are properly restrained and chocked.
- Operate industrial pallet jack to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
- Complete product handbills when necessary.
- Clean and straighten assigned loading dock area before leaving daily.
- Other duties that may be assigned or required.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
ComputerSkills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of forklift RF unit, VLM time system, Triceps scan station.
Certificates and Licenses:Must be able to pass Industrial Forklift Certification
OtherSkills and Abilities:
- Must be 18 years of age

While performing the duties of this Job, the associate is continuously exposed to extremely cold temperatures ranging from
-10 degrees to
-20 degrees (non-weather) as well as rapidly changing temperatures from 35 degrees to
-20 degrees (non-weather); work near moving mechanical parts.
The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
