Warehouse Operative

Pay:From $17.00 per hour

Shift 7am to 4:30pm

• Operate forklifts lifting tons of pounds and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and organize products or materials in a warehouse or distribution center
• Use order pickers, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks to retrieve and transport items as needed
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper placement of goods
• Perform routine maintenance on forklifts and other equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries
• Assist with inventory management by accurately recording product movement and counts
• Collaborate with warehouse team members to fulfil orders and meet production goals

• Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution centre setting
• Proficient in order picking, shipping receiving, and warehouse management procedures
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with forklifts or equipment
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as required
• Basic math skills to accurately record inventory counts and perform calculations
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to maintain accurate records
• Either currently possesses valid forklift certification (or achieved in the past)
