Employment is contingent on satisfactory completion of a post-offer background investigation and a drug screen. Because this position supports safety-sensitive licensed private security operations, a criminal background check may be required by law.
Security Engineers is seeking dependable Command Center Operators to support safe and secure environments for our clients. Operators monitor critical security systems, dispatch emergency responses, process alerts, handle communications, and enforce site policies. This position requires strong multitasking, excellent communication, and the ability to remain calm while managing multiple security functions simultaneously.
Minimum Qualifications
- Eligible for employment by Security Engineers' Indiana-licensed security guard agency.
- Valid driver’s license and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets company approved driver standards
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Key Responsibilities:
Command Center Operations
- Dispatch fire, medical, chemical, and traffic incident responses.
- Answer associate calls regarding lateness or absences and update internal systems.
- Respond to duress alarms and acknowledge card access alerts.
- Control and document access to client property.
- Prevent loss or damage due to fire, equipment issues, or safety hazards.
- Issue Hot Work and Confined Space permits.
- Enforce client rules, regulations, and access requirements.
- Operate multiple software platforms concurrently.
Patrol and surveillance
- Monitor access points and verify proper identification.
- Review camera systems and surveillance feeds for suspicious activity.
- Conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols to identify and report hazards.
Incident Response and Reporting
- Respond to alarms and emergencies following protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs of activities, incidents, and communications.
- Perform routine tasks such as unlocking/locking doors and monitoring equipment.
Customer Service and Policy Enforcement
- Assist visitors and employees professionally.
